One child dead, another injured during TV serial shooting in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy has died and a girl has been seriously injured during the shooting of a television serial in Andhra Pradesh.
Police sources have said that during the shooting of 'Indrani' this morning, a female actor driving a car accidentally hit a footpath and then ran over the children. The police are investigating whether she had a valid driver's licence.
The actor and some other crew members have been taken into police custody. A case will be registered against her under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly causing death due to negligence, a senior police official has said. Both the children were reportedly bystanders. The girl who was injured has been moved to hospital.
The accident took place in a residential area of Chandanagar in Cyberabad reportedly while a stunt was being performed. Several reports say the crew had not sought permission from local authorities.
