told reporters that they have toured
the Cauvery basin and farmers have expressed fears of shortage of water for standing
crops. "There is problem in the Cauvery in Karnataka."
He said the team would submit its report with bare facts within
two days to the Cauvery River Authority (CRA). The Cauvery Monitoring Committee
is scheduled to meet in Delhi on October eight. The Team in their last leg
visited Hemavathi basin, including Holenarasipura in Hassan district to assess
the situation.
The team yesterday visited Mandya, KRS and heard views of
farmers. Jacob said the team would submit its report to the centre in about two
days.
