New Delhi: Irfan Pathan has replaced R. Vinay Kumar in the Indian side for the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka after the Karnataka cricketer was ruled out with a hamstring injury he sustained while training, a BCCI release said. Kumar suffered a Grade I right hamstring injury while training on Thursday. He is expected to regain match-fitness in three weeks.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee chose the left-armer, ahead of other contenders, as his replacement in the Indian squad.
