New Delhi, A 39-year-old Nigerian national was arrested here allegedly with 400 grams of heroin worth around Rs 40 lakh in international market, police said today. Christian Asieme Nsofor was apprehended from Dwarka yesterday when he went there allegedly to deliver heroin to his client, Sanjay Kumar Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), said.
Soon after his schooling, Jain said, he started helping his father in farming but to earn quick money he came to Mumbai in 2010 on business visa. During his stay in India, he came in contact with a fellow Nigerian Derry who had been arrested in a drug peddling case.
Derry lured Nsofor into the drug business, used to meet Nsofor in Nawada of Uttam Nagar and supplied him heroin and cocaine for its further supply to his clients, Jain said.
