Chennai, Jun AIADMK's Karthik Thondaiman, who emerged winner in the June 12 bye-election to the Pudukkottai Assembly constituency, would take oath as member of the Tamil Nadu assembly. Assembly Speaker D Jayakumar would administer the oath of office and secrecy to Thondaiman in his office,officials said.
Thondaiman, secured 101,998 votes, defeating his nearest rival N Jahir Hussain of Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam by 71,498 votes. The bypoll was necessitated by the death of CPI legislator SP Muthukumaran in a road accident in April.
