Indian film festival


Puducherry, A four-day annual Indian film festival, under the banner `Indian Panorama 2012`, will be held here fromn August 29. Chief Minister N.Rangasamy will inaugurate the event. He will also give away the `Sankaradoss Swamigal Award` instituted by Puducherry government to Salim Ahamed, Director of the national award winning Malayalam movie `Adaminte Makan Abu`(Abu son of Adam) on the opening day of the festival, a release said. The festival has been organised jointly by the Directorate of Information and Publicity Puducherry, the Puducherry based Navadarshan Film Society and the Alliance Francaise.

There would be screening of this film on the inauguration day. The Telugu movie `Virodhi`, Bengali film `Laptop` and Hindi movie `Zindagi Na Milego Dobara` would be screened on August 30, 31 and on September 1 respectively. The Tamil film `Ravanan` will be screened on September 2, the release said.
