Fire in Manish market

Fire in Manish market in south Mumbai under control

Mumbai: A major fire that broke out in south Mumbai's Manish Market this evening has been brought under control. No casualties have been reported. 12 fire tenders, 10 water tankers and three ambulances had been rushed to the spot to battle the blaze which broke out around 4:30 pm. The cooling operation is now underway.

Manish Market is mainly used by wholesale dealers. There was another fire in the Manish Market in November last year which gutted around 300 shops. The report on that fire is still awaited. Sabotage was suspected at that time.
