Ronjan Singh Sodhi wins silver at ISSF World Cup finals
New Delhi: Leaving behind the London Olympics disappointment, India's ace double trap shooter Ronjan Sodhi on Monday won a silver medal at the ISSF World Cup in Slovenia. Sodhi, who had failed to qualify for the finals of the Olympics, shot a score of 191 (144+47), which is three more than the London Games gold medal score.
It is third year in a row that Ronjan has won a medal at World Cup finals. In the previous two editions -- 2010 and 2011 -- he had won a gold each. National Rifles Association of India (NRAI) President Raninder Singh praised the performance of the Ferozpur shooter and said he will continue to bring laurels for the country.
