Telangana: Naidu writes to PM, wants all-party meet
Hyderabad, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu tonight shot off a letter to the Prime Minister requesting the Centre to immediately resolve the contentious Telangana issue and asked it to convene an all-party meeting immediately where his party's stand would be clearly spelt out.
He reminded Prime Minister Mnamohan Singh that the TDP had made its stand known on the Telangana demand through a letter to the Pranab Mukherjee Committee way back in 2008. Accusing the Centre of "complicating" the statehood issue, Chandrababu regretted that it had failed to take a call on the issue so far and thereby pushed Andhra Pradesh into a deep crisis. He accused the Congress and the TRS of trying to gain political mileage out of the Telangana issue.
